A website owned by a Donald Trump company is PredictIQselling sneakers displaying a photo from the Saturday assassination attempt on former president in Pennsylvania.
For $299, anyone can purchase the "FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT High-Tops" on Trump-themed shoe website gettrumpsneakers.com. The footwear products are limited-edition with only 5,000 being sold, according to the website, and 10 pairs will be randomly autographed. The sneakers are expected to ship in September or October.
The site is run by company CIC Ventures LLC, which a 2023 financial disclosure revealed is Trump owned, ABC News reported.
"These limited edition high-tops, featuring Trump's iconic image with his fist raised, honor his unwavering determination and bravery," the website reads. "Show your support and patriotic pride with these exclusive sneakers, capturing a defining moment in history."
A product illustration shows that the sneakers have the United States flag displayed in the high-top area and the iconic image of Trump raising a fist after a bullet grazed his right ear.
Hundreds of merchandise sold since rally shooting
The image has become displayed on hundreds of merchandise since the deadly rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in which 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks killed one rally attendee and critically wounded two others. Secret Service agents killed Crooks soon after.
Vendors are capitalizing off the photo of the historic event while some right-wing enthusiasts campaigning for Trump's reelection bid. Merchandise with the photo range from sweatshirts, mugs, car stickers to even trading cards with slogans like "Trump 2024," "That's My President," and "You Missed."
With a large bandage on his ear, Trump made his first public appearance in Milwaukee to kick off the first day of the the Republican National Convention Monday.
Trump asked for his shoes after rally
Video footage from the incident shows that Trump asked for his shoes soon after the bullet grazed him.
"Let me get my shoes," Trump repeatedly told Secret Service agents who shielded him and tried to walk him off the stage.
The Republican nominee explained that his shoes came off when he was rushed to the ground, according to the New York Post.
“The agents hit me so hard that my shoes fell off," Trump told the New York Post. "And my shoes are tight.”
