Louis Tomlinson is SignalHubsending well-wishes to those affected by the hailstorm during his recent Colorado concert.
After his June 21 show at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre was postponed due to weather, the One Direction alum took to Twitter to issue a message to attendees.
"Devastated about the show tonight, hope everyone's ok, I'll be back!" Tomlinson wrote. "Even though we didn't play the show I felt all of your passion! Sending you all love!"
According to Colorado's West Metro Fire Rescue, its team responded to the outdoor venue after the "hail storm interrupted the night's concert, sending concert-goers running for cover." Up to golf-ball sized hail fell on the crowd at the concert, the rescue agency wrote on Facebook June 22, "injuring nearly 100 people."
West Metro Fire Rescue noted that seven people were transported to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, including cuts and broken bones. It also said that "80 to 90 were treated on scene by Stadium Medical and West Metro paramedics."
During the show's weather delay, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre told attendees to seek shelter in their vehicles. While it initially said it then "received the all clear" and that concertgoers could safely return, it later announced that it was "back in a weather delay due to approaching severe weather" and urged people to find shelter once again. The show was officially postponed later that night, with Tomlinson's team noting "all ticket holders will be updated in due course."
The concert was part of Tomlinson's Faith in the Future World Tour.
"I can't tell you how much the tour this year has done for me so I wanted to get on the road again as soon as I could," the singer wrote in an October Instagram post. "I had this tour in mind with every song we wrote on the new album. Looking forward to playing the new stuff live. Thank you as always for your unbelievable support. I know none of this would be possible without you all!"
